HEIC to JPG Converter

iPhone photos arrive as HEIC files that Windows, Android and most websites cannot open. Convert them to JPG here — free, private, on any device.

Private by design: this tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to a server, and nothing is stored.

HEIC decoding happens in your browser and can take a few seconds per photo on older phones. If a converted photo looks washed out, that is the HDR data in the original — the plain JPG is still the most compatible version.

How to use it

Add your HEIC photo(s). Send them from your iPhone to this device first (email, USB, cloud drive), then choose them here.
Press Convert to JPG. Each photo is decoded and re-saved as a standard JPG.
Download and use anywhere. The JPGs open on Windows, Android, in Word documents and on every website.

Why iPhones use HEIC — and why it causes trouble

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) stores photos in roughly half the space of JPG, which is why Apple made it the iPhone default. The problem starts when the photo leaves the Apple ecosystem: Windows needs a paid codec from the Microsoft Store, older Android phones show a blank icon, and website upload forms reject the file outright. Converting to JPG solves all three at once, because JPG is the one image format everything on earth understands. This tool does the conversion locally, so even private photos never pass through anyone's server.
